From November 5 to 8, the 2025 Tianfeng (Heavenly Wind, flagship magazine of CCC&TSPM) author training, hosted by CCC&TSPM, was held in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, bringing together more than 70 dedicated contributors from across the country.
According to CCC&TSPM, in his address, Rev. Geng Weizhong, vice president of the CCC, conveyed the key points of the symposium marking the 80th anniversary of Tianfeng and highlighted the expectations expressed by Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairperson of the national TSPM, for the journal's future development. Rev. Geng also led a study session on the necessity, importance, process, principles, and requirements of formulating the "Code of Conduct for Religious Clerical Personnel in Cyberspace."
The training featured a special video lecture by Wang Min, deputy editor-in-chief of Shanghai Art and Literature Publishing House and of "Yaowen Jiaozi," titled "Analysis of Common Problems in Journal Language Standardization." Wang offered a professional analysis of language standardization, addressing frequent issues in journal editing, typical proofreading errors, and word usage challenges.
Rev. Hao Zhiqiang, deputy secretary-general of the national TSPM, deputy director of the Media Ministry Committee, and editor-in-chief of Tianfeng, presented the 2026 topic selection plan for the journal. Chen Hongli, head of the publication and distribution group of CCC&TSPM's Media Ministry, introduced the latest updates on Tianfeng and other publication and distribution efforts.
After the lectures, participants engaged in group discussions, during which seven Tianfeng authors shared their creative insights and experiences.
In his concluding remarks, Rev. Geng outlined three key expectations: first, to broaden horizons through extensive reading and diverse knowledge; second, to engage in deep thinking, with profound theological reflection and clear faith expression; and third, to ensure precise expression, with careful attention to word choice, topic selection, and sentence structure so that writing may be moving, influential, and inspiring.
