On November 2, Zion Church in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, officially kicked off its "2025 Thanksgiving Month" activities, marked by the ringing of the bells on Holy Communion Sunday.
According to the church, this year's Thanksgiving Month carries the theme "Offering Thanksgiving," encouraging believers to approach people and daily experiences with gratitude and to recognize God's good purposes in their lives.
During the morning worship service, Rev. Chi Jianqing, the church's director, presented Rev. Feng Hao, former chairperson of Guangzhou TSPM and former senior pastor of Zion Church, with the "Gospel Warrior" shield on behalf of the congregation, in recognition of his long-standing dedication to pastoral care and ministry.
Zion Church plans a series of activities throughout the month, inviting believers, their families, and friends to participate:
- November 2: Thanksgiving Month Launch—Themed Preaching "Offering Thanksgiving"
- November 3: Elderly Care Activities
- November 15: Happy Couples Retreat
- November 23: Thanksgiving Carnival
- November 29: Gospel Storytelling Session
