On October 30, Shanghai Municipal Christian Council conducted an ordination ceremony at Transfiguration Church in Qingpu District, where eight pastors and one elder were ordained. Over 300 church members and believers from across Shanghai attended the event.
According to Shanghai CC&TSPM, Rev. Xu Yulan, chairperson of Shanghai TSPM, delivered a sermon titled "Setting an Example for Believers," while the Shanghai Pastors' Choir performed the hymn "I Surrender All." During the ceremony, Rev. Yu Guangzhi, president of Shanghai CC administered the ordination vows and performed the laying on of hands, ordaining four men and four women as pastors and one woman as an elder. Then the newly ordained ministers were presented with stoles and Bibles.
A symposium was held afterward to welcome and encourage the newly ordained.
